Approvals
The LPG cylinders manufactured by Composite Scandinavia are designed to fulfil requirements in all existing international standards, such as EN 12245, EN 14427 or ISO 11119-3. Depending on country and continent certain local regulations could also apply. The three existing standards are quite similar, but with one important difference that the EN 14427 is only for LPG cylinders. It has also the most aggressive requirement on impact resistance, as it is believed that LPG cylinders to a great extent are mistreated by users and distributors. Therefore an impact test from 3 metres height is performed on filled cylinders, pressurised to 20 bar. This is an extreme tests, which is not performed on metallic cylinders, as it is believed to be too extreme.
The cylinders maunfactured by Composite Scandinavia comply with the requirements in both EN 12245 and EN 14427, and has been examined in accordance to Module C1 with respect to the procedure of conformity assessment as described in Module B in the Directive 99/36/EC, and are thus approved for π stamping*
