Where are Your Compolite CS products approved?
Our non-liner composite cylinders were approved in 1991, and reached a full European Approval 2001. We got our US approval 2004. Today we can offer products in Europe that are approved both for EN 122 45 and EN 144 27.
Who are our customers?
Today we have both one of the biggest LPG actors in the world as our customers but also in some countries small upcoming actors providing very local LPG services. We have both SHV and Shell companies as retailers/customers and with them we have the potential to cooperate to introduce the composite cylinder world wide.

why not use polyester resin instead of vinyl ester?
In order to achieve good mechanical properties and chemical resistance, vinyl ester is preferred over polyester. Today there are also modified polyesters which have either good mechancial or high chemical resistance, but to find the combination is not as easy.
Why don't you develop bigger size of composite cylinder, like as 20kg or 50kg?
There has been requests to develop larger cylinders as the ones mentioned in your question.
Our intention is to meet the customers requirement, and to be flexible to such extent that if a customer needs a cylinder different from the currently existing, we try to help. However it is always necessary to have a substantial market to substantiate the investments. In Europe which is our main market from the Swedish factory, the market for larger cylinders is limited. However, in Asia where large cylinders are commonly used on a daily basis in vast numbers, the potential is bigger, and our partner in South Korea, Green Composites, is evaluating this cylinder family.

Our unique manufacturing method is patented and we have sold licenses to produce under our patent. We have a partner company in the US called Lite Cylinder Company. They are located in Franklin TN, just outside Nashville.

FLT means ForkLift Truck, sometimes just called a forklift.
Is it safe?
All kinds of gas cylinders need an approval to be allowed to be used and transported, so also composite cylinders for LPG. Standards set the technical requirements together with legislation such as ADR for dangerous goods on road, and also national legislation in every country.
Standards for metallic and composite cylinders are built up in the same way, and aim to give an equal level of safety disregarding cylinder material type.
Having that said, composite cylinders are a more modern product, and some requirements in the composite cylinder standards superseedes the requirements set on metallic cylinders. It can therefore be stated that composite cylinders in general are as safe as, or safer than, metallic cylinders.
Can I use your cylinders for storing hydrogen?
Our cylinders are designed and developed for low pressure applications. This means that the normal working pressure in such a cylinder is typically in the range of 5-25 bar. A hydrogen cylinder has a working pressure around 200 bar or more.
