Why Composite?
See-through, light weight, cost efficient and safe. Fibreglass reinforced vinylester is a high performance material with properties unsurpassed by any conventional material used in LPG cylinders today.
Composite cylinders are formed by wrapping fibreglass fibres around a mandrel in multiple directions and saturating the fibres with resin to create each half of the cylinder. Next, appropriate holes are drilled in each half and the two halves are bonded together to create the cylinder. The completed cylinders are pressure-tested with air.
The process is cost-efficient and produces an LPG cylinder that is transparent, allowing superior visibility of fuel levels inside the container. The material weighs nearly 50 percent less than steel used in traditional LPG cylinders, which means easier handling and transportation. In addition, the material is strong, durable and corrosion-free, making the product safe for users as well as the environment.
